Monea Williams, President of Feel the Pressure Dance and Production Company, Born and raised in Pasadena, California. Has been dancing since the age of 6. Through out the years she has been trained in modern dance, jazz and hip hop. In 1987 she began to choreography for many local new artist. She performed in such events that promoted kids staying in school, saying no to drugs and making the right choices. She has also choreographed dance pieces for the JV cheerleading team at her high school. In 1996 she was given the opportunity to choreography for LA Gear, in which when that contract ended she formed the company MOFORYA meaning more for you. This company consists of high school kids that had to audition, stay in school and maintain a GPA. In this company I taught not just dance and choreography but self respect, discipline and motivation. Each dancer was given entertainment permits to work in the entertainment industry as a dancer. The dancers had many opportunities to dance in videos, open for shows and perform in many events. The dancers has performed and or opened in over 62 shows. Heres a few artist. Howard Hewit, Kurtis Blow, Montel Jordan, Queen Latifa, Immature, Coolio, Total. Many functions with 92.3 the beat. May 2007, Feel the Pressure Dance and Production Company a 501c3, non profit organization in Moreno Valley opened. This time she has impact this community and schools and redefines performing arts. She is leading this company to be a school of professional training and of many productions. Thru this mission statement: - To reach the youth through performing arts - To push the correct form of dance - To produce accomplished dancers - To create various programs for the community and after school programs This organization believes in helping the youth through dance. The motivation of the organization it’s to conduct community interaction through educational after school programs, community recreation events and performances. While reaching out to the youth, one community at a time, FTP pushes excellence in dance as well as combining achievements and positive recognition. To date, the dancers of FTP have performed in over a 120 shows, community events and featured in several newspapers and perform on TV shows.
